Iyo Meito is a whetstone with Iyomokume, which, as its name suggests, looks as if it was carved out of the trunk of a large tree. It used to be called "Tiger" and was considered a third-class product, but since the mountain it is mined in has changed, it has become a very popular whetstone, not only for its appearance but also for its high quality.

This particular one is the softest of the Iyo Meito stones, making it ideal for sharpening cutting edges.
